Where to begin!? About a month ago, a water leak destroyed the floors throughout much of our house, and we couldn't be happier with The Best Restoration. They took care of the water damage mitigation, packing, demo, and new flooring installation. Every single person we interacted with was incredible--kind, empathetic, professional, efficient--but we were especially amazed by Rodger's dedication, communication, and leadership. He went above and beyond for us time and again and made this entire process as quick and stress-free as possible. When his team was tied up with other projects one day, he came at 6:00 p.m. on a Friday evening to wrap up the leak mitigation and haul out the equipment himself just to make sure we could have a quiet weekend without the fans. He then planned most of the demo and floor installation for the week of our planned vacation, and took care of absolutely everything while we were gone--hunting down the closest match to our original flooring that could be found anywhere from Gainesville to Ocala and sending photos and videos of the team's progress to keep us in the loop. Rodger is exceptional, as is the team under his leadership. We certainly aren't *planning* to have another house-related catastrophe in the near future, but it's comforting to know that if we do, there's such an outstanding team ready to help.![]()

Things people ask us most, answered plainly and honestly.
Trenton's warm, damp climate creates ideal conditions for mold growth, especially after a leak, storm, or period of high humidity. It doesn't take much moisture for mold to take hold. Once it starts, it can spread quietly behind walls and under floors until someone notices a musty smell or visible growth.
For a tiny patch on tile or another hard, non-porous surface, sure, go ahead. But for mold on drywall, wood, or anything that's soaked it in, or if it keeps coming back, you need it handled properly. Wiping the surface doesn't kill what's growing inside the material, and it does nothing about the moisture that's feeding it.
The biggest sign is a musty smell that won't go away, even after cleaning. Other signs include allergy symptoms that get better when you're away from the house, unexplained water stains, or any past water damage that wasn't dried out fast. If you had a leak or flood in the last year that wasn't professionally dried, it's worth getting checked.
A small, contained area can often be remediated in a day. Mold that has spread through walls or across multiple rooms usually takes a few days to address properly, including inspection, containment, removal, and final cleanup. We provide a realistic timeline after inspecting the affected area.
It can be. Common symptoms are sneezing, stuffy nose, itchy eyes, coughing, and worse asthma symptoms. Kids, older adults, and anyone with breathing issues are more at risk. If someone in your house has symptoms that improve when they leave and come back when they're home, mold is worth checking for.
It depends on why the mold showed up. If it followed a sudden, covered event like a burst pipe, your insurance may help. If it grew slowly from a hidden leak or long-term humidity, coverage is less likely. We document what we find carefully, which helps no matter which way your claim goes.
Because the moisture causing it is still there. Cleaning what you can see doesn't fix a leak, poor airflow, or excess humidity that may be feeding new growth. Mold can keep returning until the source is addressed, which is why our process focuses on correcting the cause, not just treating the symptom.
Removal means taking the mold out. Remediation covers the full process, including locating the mold, containing the affected area to help prevent spread, removing contaminated materials properly, and addressing the moisture source that caused the problem. Mold removal alone may only provide a short-term fix. Remediation is designed to address the problem more completely.
Yes. Once the mold is gone, we handle whatever it damaged, including drywall, insulation, and flooring, and repair the affected areas so they look and function like new again. One team handles the entire process from the initial inspection through the final repair.
